Features and Eligibility of PLI Sumangal Plan
The PLI Anticipated Endowment Assurance Plan, introduced on February 1, 1984, is ideal for individuals seeking periodic returns, short-term life coverage, and high bonus rates and this policy is specialy design for only two policy terms 15 and 20 years.
Key Features:
- Policy Term: 15 or 20 years.
- Eligibility Age:
- For a 15-year policy: Minimum age 19 years, maximum age 45 years.
- For a 20-year policy: Minimum age 19 years, maximum age 40 years.
- Sum Assured: Minimum ₹20,000; Maximum ₹50 lakh.
- Last Declared Bonus: ₹45 per ₹1,000 sum assured per year.
- Death Benefit: The full sum assured plus accrued bonus is paid to the assignee, nominee, or legal heir in case of the policyholder’s death.
- Periodical Returns (Money Back): Money back was paid in four parts 20%, 20%, 20%, 40% + Bonus
- Premium Payment Modes: Monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly.
